Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing this website or engaging Eldest Daughters services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this site or engage our services.
2. Nature of Services — Important Disclaimers
Not Medical Advice
Eldest Daughters does not provide medical care, clinical assessment, diagnosis, or medical advice. Nothing communicated by Kathy or through this website constitutes medical advice. Decisions about medical care should be made in consultation with licensed healthcare providers.
Not Legal Advice
Eldest Daughters does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services of any kind. Nothing communicated by Kathy or through this website constitutes legal advice. Legal matters should be addressed with a licensed attorney.
Not Financial Advice
Eldest Daughters does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or financial planning services. Nothing communicated by Kathy or through this website constitutes financial advice. Financial matters should be addressed with a licensed financial or tax professional.
Not Therapy or Counseling
Coaching and emotional support services offered by Eldest Daughters are not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. If you need licensed mental health support, we encourage you to seek a licensed therapist or counselor.
3. Payments and Refunds
Services are prepaid before sessions begin. Payment holds your appointment and reserves preparation time.
Refund Policy: Payments are non-refundable, except where Kathy is unable to fulfill the service due to illness, emergency, or other circumstances beyond the client's control. In those cases, a full refund will be issued or the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost, at the client's election.
If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may result in forfeiture of the session fee.
4. Professional Referrals — Independent Contractors
Eldest Daughters may connect families with professionals in our partner network. These professionals — attorneys, CPAs, home health agencies, accessibility contractors, and others — are independent practitioners who operate under their own credentials, licenses, and direct agreements with clients.
Eldest Daughters is not a staffing agency, placement service, or employer of referred professionals. We do not supervise, direct, or assume responsibility for the services provided by network partners.
Inclusion in the Eldest Daughters partner network does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the quality, appropriateness, or outcomes of any professional's services.
5. Scope Limitations
Kathy will be honest with you about the limits of what she can offer. If your situation requires services outside the scope of Eldest Daughters, she will tell you and help you find appropriate resources.
Eldest Daughters does not provide emergency services. If you or your parent is in a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services.
6. Client Portal
The client portal is provided as a convenience for tracking service requests and submitting testimonials. Portal accounts require approval. Approved access may be revoked at any time for misuse or inactivity.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity under your account.
7. Partner Network Applications
Submission of a partner network application does not guarantee acceptance. Eldest Daughters reserves the right to accept, waitlist, or decline any application without obligation to explain the decision.
Network partners operate as independent entities and are responsible for maintaining their own insurance, licensure, and compliance with applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eldest Daughters and Kathy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or this website. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Baltimore City or Baltimore County, Maryland.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
